Sandyknowes Blog

Living beside the busiest roundabout in Northern Ireland gives plenty of opportunity for watching the world go by. Sandyknowes Blog is the personal blog of Niall Lockhart (minister of Ballyhenry). Pull in and have a read…

This year's Ballyhenry Holiday Club will be running from Monday 14th - Friday 18th August (6.30pm-8.15pm).

The Holiday Club is a Bible based programme for children who are going into P1 through to those leaving P7. Programme includes stories, music, crafts and drama ... and visits from the Ballyhenry Mystery Machine!

Admission is free. For registration purposes children must be left off by a parent / guardian on the first night of attendance. Children should also be collected by a parent / guardian at the end of each evening.

This Sunday we meet for morning worship in Ballyhenry at 11am. We pick up the nexty part of our series in the book of Acts, entitled 'The Spreading Flame.' Throughout the book of Acts we see the gospel spreading out - crossing geographical and cultural boundaries. This week our focus shifts to the city of Antioch - and the moment when the Holy Spirit prompted the church there to send Saul (and Barnabas) on what was to become known as 'Paul's First Missionary Journey.'

During the month of July and August, if you are out and about, feel very welcome to drop in to Ballyhenry.

We meet each Sunday at 11am. (Note there are no evening services during July or August).

Our service includes praise (led by our Praise Group), Bible teaching and prayer.

We have a supervised creche and a children's provision for children of pre-primary and primary school age (called Storykeepers).

This Sunday our series in the book of Acts takes us onto the Road to Damascus (Acts 9) and the remarkable story of the conversion of Saul.

Our service starts at 11am and lasts around 1 hour. We have a supervised creche and a summer children's provision (Primary and Pre-Primary) called 'Storykeepers'.

This Sunday morning we meet for our morning service at 11am. We are looking at Acts 5 vs 17-42. In these verses look out for how public opinion begins to shift against the apostles as they share the good news of Jesus in Jerusalem. Pressure rises to the point where they are thrown in jail, and by the beginning of chapter 8 many of the first Christians are forced to flee Jerusalem all together.
