Sandyknowes Blog

Living beside the busiest roundabout in Northern Ireland gives plenty of opportunity for watching the world go by. Sandyknowes Blog is the personal blog of Niall Lockhart (minister of Ballyhenry). Pull in and have a read…

This Sunday is Harvest Sunday in Ballyhenry. While many things have changed over the years farming continues to be a huge part of life for many here in Northern Ireland. Even for those of us living in the town the gap between field and supermarket is narrow, we are all reliant on the provision that comes at Harvest.

Another week goes round and we are looking forward to this Sunday in Ballyhenry. At 11am we meet for our morning service when we look at the next part of our series on Romans 1-8. This week we see how the Apostle Pauls bridges from the 'bad news' to the 'good news'. All have sinned, all have fallen short of God's glory, no one is righteous ... but that is not the end of the story. Do join us and as ever we have a full children's provision and supervised creche.

This Sunday we're looking forward to meeting in Ballyhenry for our morning service at 11am. This week we take the next step in our journey into the first 8 chapters of the book of Romans. We'll be looking at chapter 2 vs 1 through to chapter 3 vs 20; where the Apostle Paul explains how no one, on their own merit, is 'righteous' before God.

Praise Group will be playing and as usual we have supervised creche / full children's provision / teenage Bible Class.

Do be encouraged to join with us, and if you are visiting be assured that you will be welcome.

This Sunday sees the beginning of a new term in Ballyhenry. At 11am we have our morning service. This is our main gathering of the week when people of all ages gather together. We provide a supervised creche for babies / young children and a full children's provision for primary / pre primary kids. Music is led by our Praise Group and the service lasts around an hour.

This week we begin our new Bible teaching series which is entitled 'Confident in Christ'. This is based on Romans 1-8. We also hope to have new Fellowship Group books available for purchase (£4).

Here's the run down of when our various youth and children's organisations are starting in September. For further details email us on info@ballyhenry.org or call on 028 90836046
