Sandyknowes Blog

Living beside the busiest roundabout in Northern Ireland gives plenty of opportunity for watching the world go by. Sandyknowes Blog is the personal blog of Niall Lockhart (minister of Ballyhenry). Pull in and have a read…

This Sunday morning in Ballyhenry we welcome as our guest speaker at 11am Rev Dr John Woodside. John is formerly minister of Drogheda Presbyterian Church in County Louth and will be picking up on the next part of our series in the book of Romans looking at 'Present Suffering and Future Glory' (Romans 8 vs 18-30). Our service will include full children's provision, teenage Bible Class and supervised creche.

This Sunday we meet in Ballyhenry at 11am and 7pm.

At our 11am service we continue our journey in the book of Romans, looking at Romans 8 vs 1-17 under the title 'Life through the Spirit'. We will also be sharing together in bread and wine at this service, expectant as to how Jesus promises to teach us through His word and by His Spirit.

Then at 7pm we have Prayer Central, an ever welcome opportunity to seek God's face for ourselves, the church and our community, as we look to another week.

This Sunday evening at 7pm we welcome the band Reality for a special evening in Ballyhenry.

Reality are a group of people who enjoy making music, using their gifts to tell people about the reality of Jesus and the impact He has had upon their lives.

Every year they visit various towns and cities across Ireland playing and sharing their message.

So come along and join us for this special evening. Admission is free. Share the invite!

This Sunday (11am) we gather in Ballyhenry for our annual Service of Remembrance. As we do each week we will seek to frame our thinking and our responses around God's word, considering this week how remembering reveals to us deep truths about the world we live in. As usual we have our Praise Group leading and a full children's provision / supervised creche. You will be really welcome to join us.
