Sandyknowes Blog

Living beside the busiest roundabout in Northern Ireland gives plenty of opportunity for watching the world go by. Sandyknowes Blog is the personal blog of Niall Lockhart (minister of Ballyhenry). Pull in and have a read…

This Sunday we meet in Ballyhenry at 11am and 7pm. At 11am we have our annual 'Tearfund Service'. Tearfund is a long established key partner of Ballyhenry in our commitment to global mission. This year we will be thinking about the values and ethos of Tearfund and reminding ourselves of their work around the world. Our service will be followed by lunch together - no need to pre-book - just join us! Our morning service includes supervised creche and a full children's provision.

This Sunday we meet in Ballyhenry at 11am for our annual Guide Thinking Day Service. On Sunday we will be joining with girls, family and friends, from our Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. The girls will be taking part and our guest speaker will be Laura Hutcheson-Magee. The service will finish up with tea / coffee / juice. You will be really welcome. If you're not used to coming along to church be assured of a warm welcome. For parents / friends / visitors there is no 'dress code' and the service will last about 1 hour 15 mins.

Recently a new sign has appeared at the Sandyknowes Roundabout welcoming people to Glengormley. This Sunday we would love to welcome you to Ballyhenry. At our 11am service we have a mixture of praise and Bible teaching as well as a full children's provision / teenage Bible Class and supervised creche.

This Sunday we are looking together at the question 'How do I become a Christian?'

7pm gives an additional opportunity to meet together. This week Matthew Horner, a student for the ministry, will be speaking at our service. There is also a time of prayer at 6.30pm.

This Sunday we meet in Ballyhenry at 11am and 7pm.

At our 11am service we come to the final part in our series The God we Serve, where we have been working our way through the book of Daniel. Join us on Sunday as we find Daniel by the banks of the Tigris river in Daniel chapters 10-12. In these chapters we see how Daniel's vision of 'the end' transformed how he lived 'now'. Our service, as usual, includes supervised creche, children's provision, teenage Bible Class and music led by our Praise Group.

This Sunday we meet in Ballyhenry for our morning service at 11am. This week is our annual CE service and we very much look forward to sharing in what is always an appreciated time led by the children and young people of Christian Endeavour. Because this is an 'all-age' service children will be in through the service though there will, as usual, be a supervised creche. In addition to the children taking part we will be thinking about how there is a 'time for everything'.
