A prayer as we look forward

A prayer as we look forward

Back in April Lisa Little wrote a prayer for us as a congregation. Lisa has written a new prayer, which you maye find helpful at this time, as people begin to look forward into a future that continues to be marked by many uncertanties.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your many blessings during this very difficult time. Thank you for being our refuge and tower of strength during the Coronavirus. We have experienced good days and not so good days.  We pray for those who are feeling anxious and struggling about what lies ahead, be it their own personal circumstances, for family and friends, illness, employment, our mental wellbeing etc. Help us to be mindful of others. We have many worries but only you can give us your peace throughout this and we thank you for your constant loving presence in our lives.

As restrictions are now gently being lifted, we pray that we would be patient throughout this critical time and give us wisdom and guidance in our daily lives.

Thank you again for our doctors, nurses, carers and key workers and we pray that you would continue to keep them safe in their work.

We pray for our government and guide them in the important steps they are taking to ease us out of lockdown.  We continue to pray for those who are working tirelessly on delivering a vaccine and that one will be sought very soon.

We pray for your guidance for companies that are faced with making difficult decisions regarding their future and the future of their employees.

You are the light that shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (John 1 v 5).

Thank you Lord and we ask all these things in your precious name.

Amen
