This Sunday - 9th April

This Sunday we are delighted to be welcoming the Moderator of the General Asssembly, Rt Rev Dr Frank Sellar, to Ballyhenry.

At 11am the Moderator will be speaking on the next section of our journey through John's Gospel. Our focus verses will be John 19 verses 16-37 as we take time to explore why Jesus died and what His death means for us today. Our service will include a supervised creche and a full children's provision.

At 7pm we welcome other congregations from across the 'North Belfast Presbytery' for a special Presbytery Service. Dr Sellar will once again be the keynote speaker, and we will also be including an interview with Claire (Frank's wife) reflecting on their recent pastoral visit to Nepal.

Ballyhenry Praise Group will be leading at the service and everyone is invited to stay behind afterwards for supper.

When he was appointed (in June 2016) Dr Sellar was quoted as saying the following:

We are called to learn from and share with our brothers and sisters in the worldwide Church, participating with them in the urgent task of world evangelism, stewardship of the Earth’s resources and challenging injustice, poverty and oppression. At the same time, is vital that people hear that Jesus is the antidote to all the bad news, which is so prevalent in a broken society.

We are very much looking forward to Sunday. You will be genuinely welcome if you are able to join with us.
