This Sunday - 7th August

It's Olympics time - and this Sunday we will be picking up on that theme introducing our service with words from the Apostle Paul:

Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Run in such a way as to get the prize.’ (1 Corinthians 9 vs 24-25)

We'll be tying this in to our Children's Talk, and alongside this we will be hearing about some upcoming outreach work being done by the band Reality.

After the children leave for Streetwise we will be returning to our series 'The Sheep and the Shepherd'. This week our focus is on Ezekiel chapter 34 seeing how God's people in the Old Testament were scattered as a result of bad shepherding, and how God Himself promised to step down and be the shepherd they needed. Niall is due to speak at our morning service (our evening services rest during the months of July-August).

Our service is at 11am, includes music led by our Praise Group, supervised creche and full children's provision. If you are visiting do say 'hello'. Every week we really do look forward to these times together, as we gather around God's word, sing His praise, pray for one another and the world, and enjoy the friendship and encouragement of one another.
