This Sunday - 30th October

This Sunday morning we meet for morning worship in Ballyhenry at 11am. Our topic will be 'You raise me up' as we pick up on the next section in the book of James (chapter 4 vs 1-17). In this chapter we see James in duel mode - both rebuking and encouraging his readers. Our key verse for the morning comes from James 4 vs 6 where we read: 'God opposes the proud, but shows favour to the humble.' Praise Group will be leading and we have full children's provision (including supervised creche and teenage Bible Class).

Then at 7pm we have a special 'DVD Evening'. Maud Kells is from Cookstown, County Tyrone, and trained as a nurse. After Bible College she felt a call to the mission field and has worked for over 40 years in the Congo area of West Africa with WEC International. She received international media attention last year when she was wounded in a shooting incident at her remote mission station. In August 2015 Maud shared her remarkable story at the Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention. At our evening service we will be watching a DVD recording of the talk that Maud gave at the Convention. It lasts just under 1 hour and is a gripping testimony of God's hand in what was literally a life and death situation.
