This Sunday - 29th March

A donkey isn't the most impressive of animals. It never has been. And yet it is a donkey that takes centre stage this Sunday as we gather to remember and celebrate the events of the first 'Palm Sunday'. Mark will be focusing our thoughts on the identity of the one who was carried on that donkey into the city of Jerusalem all those years ago, as the crowds shouted for the salvation that only God could bring. As the events of that first Easter week unfolded those cries turned to calls for this same Jesus to be crucified. Do join with us - our Praise Group will be leading on the musical side and we have our usual creche / children's provision and teenage Bible Class.

Then at 7pm we gather for a special event where we will be watching a DVD featuring Billy Graham, rap artist Lecrae and singer / song writer Lacey Sturm. This event is called The Cross and has been widely advertised (the same DVD is being shown this Easter in various churches around the UK.) The DVD can be previewed by visiting here. The evening kicks of with tea / coffee at 7pm, and will last around 45 minutes. This particular event has been highlighted in this week's Newtownabbey Times. Admission is free - do spread the word on this, a great opportunity to hear the message of 'the cross' from someone who has shared that message with many different people around the world.
