This Sunday - 13th September

This Sunday we meet at 11am and 7pm. At our 11am service we are beginning our autumn series entitled 'Citizens of Heaven.' Our plan is, between now and mid December, to work through the New Testament book of Philippians. If you want to read ahead for this Sunday you will find it helpful to look at Acts 16 vs 6-40 as well as Philippians 1 vs 1-11. The Acts section tells the story of the birth of the church in Philippi. This story has a very modern feel to it as diverse people find their hearts opened to the truth of Jesus. The verses from Philippians see Paul (in very uncertain circumstances) expressing his confidence that God is at work in Philippi and will continue His work right through to completion.

Our Praise Group will be leaidng the music and Beginners' Sunday School and Primetime (for children of Primary age) begin again. As usual we have our supervised creche.

Those in Fellowship Groups (meeting for the first on Wednesday 16th) will have opportunity to pick up Study Guides for the term (priced £4).

Then at 7pm on Sunday we meet for our evening service (Prayer Time at 6.30pm) which this week will include sharing together in communion (bread and wine). We will also be beginning a new evening series entitled 'Prayer and the Kingdom'. Again if you want to read ahead we will be looking specifically at Luke 11 vs 1-4 and Matthew 6 vs 5-9.

It is really good to be beginning a new term together. Do pray that week by week God will meet with us by His Spirit. Visitors are always welcome, and if you see somone who is visiting be sure to say 'hello'.
