This Sunday - 11th January

Sunday coming sees us meeting for morning worship at 11am. This service includes communion (bread and wine) - a really welcome opportunity to remind ourselves of the foundations of our faith in Christ at the beginning of another new year together. (The picture I have used for this post is one I took in Malawi in 2000 during a communion service in a remote village in Northern Malawi. A reminder that the heart of Christian faith is the same at all times and in all cultures). We also begin a new Old Testament teaching series with Niall looking at Daniel chapter 1. There will be a full children's programme during the service and a supervised creche.

At 7pm Mark will be speaking in the second part of our series on the 'signs' in John's gospel looking at John 4 vs 46-54 (the healing of a royal official's son). The evening service will be followed by time for a cup of tea and a chat.

Last Sunday evening we saw how John in his gospel presents evidence about Jesus, that leads to faith in Jesus, producing life through Jesus. Do pray that in turning to God's Word this Sunday we will have that sense of focus on Jesus and that experience of life in Him.
