Harvest Sunday - 9th October

Harvest Sunday - 9th October

This Sunday is Harvest Sunday in Ballyhenry. If you live in the countryside 'Harvest' is a big thing and it makes sense to think about ploughed fields and all that they produce. However even in our urban context we believe that it is good and important to pause at this time of the year and to acknowledge that (to quote an old harvest hymn) 'all good gifts around us are sent from heaven above.' In the morning we welcome back to Ballyhenry our former Assistant, Rev Mark Dodds (who is based in Tyrone). Our Praise Group will be singing for us and leading, and we also have a full children's provision, teenage Bible Class and supervised creche.

Then at 7pm Niall will be speaking, as we meet for our evening service, which will include the sharing of bread and wine (Communion) as we remember the centrality of Jesus' death upon the cross. Do be encouraged to join with us and know that you will be very welcome.
