A Game of Thrones

The Queen was in Belfast this week and accompanied by the First and Deputy First Ministers visited Belfast's Crumlin Road. Later on she called at the set of Game of Thrones in the Titanic Quarter. Her visit prompted the question on Radio Ulster would she be 'swapping one throne for another'?

Thrones are a big theme in the Bible. In both the Old and New Testaments thrones are pictured as being places of power and authority. But at the heart of it all the story of the Bible focuses in on one throne. It is Jesus Himself (described in Revelation 22 verse 3 as 'the Lamb') who is pictured seated on the Throne at the centre of history itself.
