Easter Weekend

Easter Weekend

This weekend we remember and celebrate the events of the first Easter.

On Good Friday (14th) we meet at 8pm for a service of reflection, which will include remembering Jesus' death as we share together in bread and wine (Communion / Lord's Supper). This is always a very meaningful opportunity to gather on what is a very poignant day in the Christian calendar.

Then on Sunday 16th (Easter Day) we gather at 11am to celebrate the empty tomb and resurrection. Our service will include children's provision and a supervised creche.

At 7pm we have a further opportunity to meet, again in more reflective mode - deeply thankful for the truths that lie at the heart of this time of year.

Our Praise Group will be leading at each of these services - something we are very much looking forward to.

In a recently published book entitled Scandalous - The Cross and Resurrection of Jesus - Bible teacher Don Carson writes: 'Nothing is more central to the Bible than Jesus' death and resurrection. The entire Bible pivots on one weekened in Jerusalem about two thousand years ago.'

Join with us this Easter weekend as together we learn, worship, remember and celebrate together in Ballyhenry.
